New trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man.

holy shit this looks so fucking good. emma stone and mary jane are my two main stay celeb crushes.

Well. I’m sold.

My only complaints are just nit picks, Emma Stone would have made a better Mary Jane than Gwen, I’ve said that a million times but I’ll say it again. Like I said, webshooters are silly looking but at least they are technological and not biological. Lizard looks more like Killer Croc and truth be told the whole Captain Stacy calling for Spider-Man’s arrest is a little too much like The Dark Knight…I mean, yeah, they have tried to go after Spidey in the comics but it was primarily done at the behest of J. J. Jameson. Which leads to another nit pick…no J. Jonah Jameson! Spider-Man’s greatest enemy isn’t Green Goblin or Dr. Octopus or Venom…it’s J. J. Here’s hoping for Jameson funding the creation of Scorpion in the sequels(should have been the third movie of the last trilogy and not Sand Man/Hob-Goblin/Venom).

The positives? everything else. Costume looks awesome, kind of reminds me of the Ben Reilly Spidey-suit being more blue than red. New kid is a decent Parker. The quips were okay but they want to portray this one as more serious, so I imagine the good jokes were left out of the previews. Cinematography looks great and it might actually be worth it in 3-D. The fact that they are doing Lizard and not just retreading villains from the last franchise. Lizard could make this super dark if they stay true to the comics but I wouldn’t blame them if they don’t follow through. Dennis Leary as Captain Stacy! Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben! The fact that they are even touching on his parents but they probably won’t bring up the S.H.I.E.L.D angle due to this being licensed and not a Marvel Studios film.

Anyway, I over-analyzed that…you can now resume your nerd free tumblr cruising.
