“February 1878” was pretty good, finally heard that supposed Fugazi influence. The first new song they played in there was very Talking Heads so this album might be pretty good.

Between spotify and stuff I just downloaded in the last few days there is probably a good 24 hours, maybe more, of music I have not listened to that came out this year or only heard briefly. There might be some hidden gems in there but I don’t think any of it will top my charts for the year.

Well, now that that brief respite is over...

I made dean’s list for the first time in my life. That’s cool. No special awards when I graduate though. My overall GPA wasn’t 3.5 or higher.
Ha! got an A- in a class I missed like 8-10 times.
What’s even funnier is that I got an A in a class that was harder than typical survey classes.
Assuming these presentation go well, I may end up with an all A or A- semester for once in my college career.
As of tomorrow, I am done...
well, not completely. Graduation is Saturday but tomorrow I am giving the last two presentations of my college career. I am getting up, taking a shower, dressin’ up, greasin’ up, eatin’ lunch, settin’ up, then group presentation followed by individual presentations. NPR doesn’t want me for All Songs Considered
oh well. There are two other positions I have applied for, I will apply again in February and I aim to be a stronger candidate by then.
I have too much on my mind...
I should be working on my final presentation for Wednesday but I can’t figure out where to start and I keep getting distracted thinking about all the things I am going to do after graduation. It would be one thing if I was making progress towards those things but I don’t really have anything to show for all this distraction.

There is a difference between derivative and direct rip off though…
derivative could mean that someone takes a strong influence from someone but they do it so well that it comes...

If you don't know the name of the song or who it's...
don’t ask me to play it at the dance…and screw dubstep, sorry, that’s just my bias but it’s crappy music and only five people at this school like it, so no, I am not going to play it.
Also, don’t request stuff when we have 20 minutes left. By that point I had already picked the last few songs and there were people ahead of you asking for songs.
